In the first truly sad news we have to report, yesterday a careless driver hit and killed one of our little friends. She was the mother of the other two pictured below.
Our little friends! Although they are the neighborhood dogs I (Shannon) am considering dognapping them when it´s time to return to the U.S. They walk with the volunteers and keep other menacing dogs and people away.
One of the famous hanging bridges in Monteverde. I would not recommend this to someone who is afraid of heights as the bridges are see-through and bouncy.
Jesus Christ… lizard. It is named as such because the females and babies can walk on water. The males are too heavy to do so but still get the name.

Eduardo Quesada, also of Nace una estrella fame, was the second special guest at my school (he didn´t go to Pat´s). He was a former teacher of Margarita, the English teacher I work with at Padre Peralta.
Xiomara Ramirez Coto, one of the finalists of Nace una estrella, Costa Rica´s version of American Idol. She came to both Pat´s and my schools on a publicity tour/run for votes. ¡Envie 7777!
